If you are unfamiliar with the terminologies that apply to web hosting, you might get confused when choosing a web-hosting plan. While researching on the net and gathering pertinent details about the web-hosting plan, chances are you might come across a variety of plans.

You might have heard of shared web hosting, virtual private server and dedicated server hosting. These plans vary in price and scope of service, as far as web-hosting plans are concerned.

Shared web hosting is the terminology used to refer to a certain hosting company that gathers the websites of different users and places them in one server. Each of the website users is provided with a limited space on the server and resources that can be used in order to supply an enjoyable service. Under this plan, your site may encounter slow traffic and rundown, especially when neighbors run defective or corrupted program scripts.

Dedicated server hosting reserves an entire server to one particular website owner. If you opted for this, you have to rent an entire server, where all resources are available to you. This type of web hosting plan is effective for personal or e-commerce websites requiring high traffic.

Virtual web hosting is a combination of shared web hosting and dedicated server accounts. More importantly, the integrated software on the web server enables its infringement to several other virtual servers. As a result, there is a myriad of servers in one system that you will have to pay for.

A virtual private server-hosting plan will cost more than a shared hosting plan, although the dedicated server-hosting plan is the most expensive.

Plan subscribers find shared hosting plans as the most affordable. They can cost less than $10 per month and are packed with interesting features and sometimes, a free domain listing.

In reality shared hosting plans are the most inexpensive. There are innumerable top-notch sites that can provide you with a breakdown of shared hosting plans that will best suit your business requirements. [
